We at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church Ipoh have been blessed to have had our weekly English Congregation in this heritage building at Jalan Kelab Golf for three decades.
During this time, our children's Sunday School was first conducted in staff quarters, an old shed, a modest hall, and even in the open field under the tree, before later moving to the small chapel today. We praise the Lord for His provision.
The Sunday School counted 50 children at each gathering at its peak. Countless children have come and gone; many matured in their walk with Christ; came back to serve the Lord in our same congregation, and others have their children brought up in Sunday School – Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6)
For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
Psalms 100:5
The time has now come for us to trust God with His plan for a new Sunday School building while the dilapidated chapel will be demolished.
Our Lord Jesus Christ is our only cornerstone (Isaiah 28:16 and Ephesians 2:20); our purpose for this new building is to give glory to our Lord (1 Corinthians 10:31) and to worship God simply in spirit and truth (John 4:24).
We give thanks to our Lord, and we invite you to join us in our unique “Building Blocks Fund Raising Countdown Program.” We have set a target and each ‘building block’ is for a RM1,000 contribution.
